Here's the initial review from RPG.net. It's long, weird and one of those things that made me in equal parts laughing my arse off and cringing.

What I'm trying to say is: enjoy! :P

Yeah I read that (it's linked at the bottom of the 1d4chan post). The game's authors responded to that review (also linked), and it's the frightening love child of /r/iamverysmart and /r/justneckbeardthings. What's especially telling IMO is that they don't really bother to defend e.g. the homophobia (such as a low speech ability being described as "gay") or misogyny (e.g. women's physical abilities drop as they become more attractive), but really focus on the rule choices. I don't know if they realized that some of it was indefensible or just didn't realize they were being criticized.

Oh, sorry. I know about FATAL and didn't even click on the article. Knowing alone is already too much. The authors' rebuttal was just mesmerising, at least in that trainwreck sense.

It's just one amazing mess. All the background material and rationalisations aside, they succeeded in one thing completely unintentionally. They made character generation and mechanics that made GURPS vehicles (2nd or 3rd edition was infamous for it IIRC) look simple, straightforward and foolproof. What's so bad about GURPS vehicles? After doing enough calculations to qualify as a CPU, one of my friends made what we dubbed as Blackbird Mazda.
