I dream of your body in glimpsed phrases of motion,
Patchworks of remembered and imagined fantasy,
Your ribs heaving when you climax,
Extended hands clutching the sheets for purchase.
I snatch your scent from the air when you leave,
Palm your cooling place on the mattress,
Drift into sleep watching laughter recalled,
And kiss the you that can't be there.
I do dream of you,
