When's the last time you saw either of them on fricking tv out of a car for that matter?

Seeing as how I so infrequently watch now, never. I actually had to look up Michael Annett.

That said, it's kind of a relief not caring that much about sports, only watching when the mood suits you. Can you imagine how much extra effort it takes to keep track of everything? One of my co-workers is a HUGE college football fan. He must be some kind of genius to be able to stay on top of it all.

Now the local news is on. They can cut back to the track drying any time now.

There was a time I could name every sponsor and driver on 43-46 cars, now I know most of the major ones, some of the lower ones, I just don't have the energy to put into it. I feel like the current France has hindered my enjoyment with constant rule and championship changes in the last 5-10 years. I'd rather sit down and enjoy it when I can than spend 30-40 hours a week making a fantasy yahoo team these days.

Dude. Football, Baseball, NASCAR, they all suddenly seem a bit more fun once you stop caring. There's no commitment on your end to watch every event and pay attention to every follow up, so you can rally just enjoy the moment.

As for NASCAR in particular, I always just cheer for Biffle. He's not great, he's not awful, but he's consistently decent.

Your other choice, of course, is to watch the Rams throw a half-dozen interceptions.

Receptions are always so painful to watch when it's your team throwing them.

I have no fucks to give about the Rams. Actually, given half a chance I'll cheer against them. But I love watching Cam Newton lose, and I am not permitted that today.

Hey, if the Cubs can win the world series, The Rams can turn that game around.

But they didn't.

Not true, FS1 has Major League Soccer playoffs on tonight... har har har.

Maybe it's just me, but football is so much easier to watch than soccer (basketball tol). Soccer, there's all this running around left and right and it's constant without much going on. Football? There's a setup, an action, and then a moment to have the results analyzed.

NASCAR? I just like loud cars.

"Football" is "Soccer" for lawyers.

NASCAR...? I mean, I can barely watch pro rally. NASCAR is like a traffic jam on Fast Forward.

That sounds pretty fair. Football fans and sports commentors both seem to love talking numbers. It makes perfect sense why fantasy football is getting more popular every year. It lets those guys put those numbers to use.

As far as racing is concerned, NASCAR is still one of the better ones to watch. F1 and Indy are way sterilized with their rules (which are obviously needed due to the risks of open wheel racing), drag racing and quarter mile circle track racing are only fun in person and in small amounts. It might be boring to watch at times, but at least with NASCAR there's shit happening that leads to position changes. That said, going to a Formula D event has replaced going to a NASCAR event on my list of shit to check out. You ever been to a drift event? That shit's bananas.
