Yeah I was thinking about spotify but half the songs are going to have to be covers. I could do it using a mix of the music I own and the music that is on spotify...

Or you can do it on Grooveshark's html5 site:

http://html5.grooveshark.com/

Search up a song, click on 'play next' and it gets added to a que. I haven't played around with it that much, so I'm not sure if you can save playlists or not. But it's a good way to find free songs without adds and commercials.

My ex loved grooveshark. I prefer spotify because I can control it using the pause/skip/play buttons on my mbp. Whenever I listen to grooveshark I hit the button to make it stop and iTunes would open. Super annoying when you're at work and really need that music off NOW.

The only good thing about Grooveshark is that it is free on the html site. Otherwise, it is slow, not intuitive, feature-poor, and has a shitty UI. But again, free is a pretty magical price.

I <3 Spotify. I pay for a subscription, and it's totally worth it. Also, the paid version transforms the service. Amazingly better without adds, nice paid feature set, plus their catalog is probably the best of any online streaming service out there.

I pay for the subscription as well - I had to originally when I went to Australia and kept it because it was so much better. It's the first thing I've actually paid for like this. I don't find things like Hulu Plus and other monthly payments for online services worth the money.

Me too. In fact, I would consider myself vehemently opposed to paying for subscription services. Yet Spotify I find completely worth it, -more than Netflix even, which is the only other service I pay for.
