This article leads me to ask why I and my peers still using this corpse of a website. I remember when Facebook was novel and useful and actually fostered connections, instead of being about political memes, brands, and social niceties. Is there something else? I want what Facebook used to be, which was a web of trust where you saw content from your friends' lives, and their friends' lives... and that's it. Maybe something like Hubski except with profiles and people I know in real life.

I got rid of Facebook and just stick to Instagram. I get updates on their lives without all the extra from Facebook. Plus whenever they make events they just text me the plans when they remember they can't add me to the event.
