Geez, now I want to make a #library post... BTW, I am going to read this book. I don't think I care much about a Great Heresy, but I know far too little about these things. Catechism focused more on parables that could be colored with crayons. :/ For one thing, I felt like I could have enjoyed Umberto Eco's Foucault's Pendulumn more if I had a deeper perspective.
I haven't read anything else by Eco. I've been told that The Island of the Day Before is unreadable. Interesting author.
I would like to try and read some of his other works, mainly essays if I remember correctly, but I don't know whether they would be too technical or available in an English translation
