Plus oxyacetylene welding is so zen. It's like sailing calm seas. Of course, I never really got to play with MiG so all my formative stuff was stick welding back before the fancy visors came out.

MIG isn't bad, but it's got that rushed feeling just like stick because you can't stop adding filler without breaking the arc.

Now if only I could find a decent priced OA rig where someone isn't trying to sell me rented bottles...

MIG welding is basically using a hot glue gun. It gets the job done but it's not a skill where you get in that transcendent craft zone

Oh, I've done it... just never enough to claim I do it a lot.
