Comets impacting planets happens all the time, as far as astronomical timescales are concerned. Shoemaker-Levy 9 was pretty cool. It happens less often for smaller planets, obviously, and I'm cool with that. We're all just in one big mixing bowl, hoping the whisk doesn't come around again before we can swim to the other side.
