I kind of assume that most apps on my phone do this these days. Are we really surprised anymore?
And is also a crashy piece of shit that forces Facebook integration on you. I ditched Runkeeper years ago. MapMyRun is a long way from perfect, and I have no doubts that something similar will be discovered about them, but fortunately Android is fundamentally useless without location services enabled anyway so it's kind of moot. Yaaaaay progress.
I've been using runkeeper now for about 3 years. It's been decent for a "free" app. I figured that I was paying for it somehow. Isn't that how it goes with free apps? I'm a firm believer in the economic axiom that there is no such thing as a free lunch. There's strings attached as I avoid paying the subscription fees and get by just fine with a limited user experience. I may just stick with it.
