I got Radium Death released in 2015, but he seems to have a lot of albums. Is there another I should start with? And a song I submit to this thread is Spoken Word by Shakey Graves, one of my favorites to sing/howl unharmoniously along to.
So his early stuff is not very well recorded so I'd pass on most of it. All but his last 2 albums are very doom and gloom but Field Songs is like his "finally happy" album. I'd say you definitely need Animals in the Dark and probably Ashes to Dust or Song of the Blackbird. I think one of my first albums was Hymns for the Hopeless but I think I'd prioritize it lower. Song of the Blackbird and Ashes to Dust have a lot of his mainstays.
