Notice how use the label 'techno skeptic' and just on the offhand admit they should be labeled 'humanist'
Notice how the 1st techno-skeptic presented own a smartphone, like you could not do without.
Notice the mocking jab about techno-skeptic warning about danger of AI. I suppose I'm less techno-skeptic than heavily concerned by privacy breach anytime, anywhere, all the time. And actually the only purpose of technology seems to get your data stored and analyzed.
Being critical of the companies and the overarching system(Capitalism) that make technology isn't the same thing as being critical of technology itself. The writer(s) of the article should probably have made that distinction a little better, they made it sound like these people are a bunch of hippies who want to live on a farm.
the post ran an article with the same premice and some look into futurism, nothing really new, but the presentation is neat : http://www.washingtonpost.com/sf/national/2015/12/26/resistance/
