Problem is I'm going to have to build a gaming PC for the living room and the whole PC gaming crowd are DICKS. That's what's going to push me into a PS4 - the fact that I don't want to associate with the fuckers. 'cuz you know what? Kerbal Space Program would be pretty dope at 92".
Remember when consoles were a good alternative to PCs, because the hardware inside was more expensive and optimized than a similarly-priced PC? Yeah, that's not the case anymore. Plus, there are a ton of interesting PC games you'll miss out on. Since you have a freaking GTX 970 in that Pro Tools of ya, why don't you just get a Steam Link and a controller? It's like a Chromecast but for gaming. No need to buy another pc, all you need is a controller that hooks up to your PC.
I know they're optimized - my assertion is that they're not as well optimized as previous console generations or modern PC drivers. Nvidia's been stepping up their driver game in the last years. GTA V for example runs better on a 960 than on an Xbox.
This is the case today. And I'm not sure what previous generations you're referring to, the 360 at launch had less optimizing tools and ps3 was basically impossible to program for. I could care less which you prefer, I just wanted to correct the false information.Remember when consoles were a good alternative to PCs, because the hardware inside was more expensive and optimized than a similarly-priced PC?
KSP is FAN-FUCKING-TASTIC. I have roughly 2100 hours in that bitch. Depends on the game being talked about. Stay out of the MMO and FPS crowds and the shitposting is not that rough. You get hardware circlejerks, but those are at least manageable.Problem is I'm going to have to build a gaming PC for the living room and the whole PC gaming crowd are DICKS.
...yeah, but I'm just coming in from the cold of 13 years on Mac. I found out what an M.2 drive is this week. And if you're going to build a rig, the MMO and FPS fuckers are the ones talking. Dunno. The pro tools rig first. We'll see what happens after that.
