There are a lot of solar farms in North Carolina. I've consulted with companies that work with them. It's an interesting business and has a timeline associated with it. The government has given subsidies in huge dollar amounts to these companies but they run out eventually. So they're furiously building these things all over the state. That said, they're hard to notice because the govt has certain mandates in place regarding visibility and even grass etc.
It's BIG business for everyone involved. I met a guy that owned a landscaping company and he was doing over $300k a month in landscaping for the solar companies. -that's a lot of grass seed.
