My guess is the administration would LOVE to make this election about social issues and not the economy.

You think? I think Bill Clinton said it best: "It's the economy, stupid."

Obama needs to hire Cavill then. That phrase was of his crafting. Romney will be heavily beating that drum lest he gets roped in to Obama's strategy. Romney should defer social issues to the states and make this about the economy only. I think Romney has a very good shot at being our next President.

James Carville is a Clintonista. He loved Donks more than the Clintons, but he's tied to them. I'd be very surprise if he was ever central to Peebo's re-election. Plus he and Axlerod purportedly dislike each other very very much.

I'm guessing "donk" is short for donkey and PeeBo means Barack Obama? I do think the prez could use better advising this time around. He whole "hope" and "change" thing just isn't going to fly. This should be a really fun election. I'm interested to see who Romney picks as a running mate.

Donk is indeed Donkey is Democrat. Phant is Elephant is Republican.

PBO is President Barack Obama is Peebo. Like Peabo Bryson - Can you stop the rain? He was good.

Anyway, I think Romney will NOT hail Mary like McCain did - that man had the political instincts of a stump and the open running ability of Czonka. I'm really crossing my fingers for Bobby Jindall, but I think that's a long shot. I'm looking to see either another Gov with better conservative credentials. I'd have said Mitch Daniels but I think Indiana is solid red for 2012. It certainly wont be Christie as he's farther left than Romney. Rubio's taken himself out by going to the Senate - but he's planning a run in 16 or 20, so that makes sense. A lot of people think he'll pick Portman to take Ohio, but he violates the "day one test". (As does Bobby.)

It'll be interesting.
