Seriously, is it me, or did he compare people who buy gold to Jews (nice historical libel, Charlie), Nazi's (confused grammar, but it can read that way), or uncivilized refugees?
Good thing he's otherwise on the side of angels and higher taxes.

PS - Yeah, I get it that it's also a shot at guys like Glen Beck.
Gold is unproductive, terrible for the economy, as a whole. It doesn't do anything.
Gold is great, what are you talking about? It's probably 0.0001% of our financial system - meaningless, except as something easy to measure and assume that a move up/down means something. And it does tons of stuff - it coats computer connectors, holds diamonds up off the floor, etc. :-) _XC
But linking Jews and gold and societal negatives is a classic slur, and was heavily used in Europe to justify pogroms, genocide, and your average age-of-enlightenment atrocities. -XC
I call Fox news tempest in a teapot. Gold bugging is the sign of Crack-Pot-ism,
If Allen was, as you say, a racist, why'd he suddenly get so suddenly subtle? -XC
- This fellow here over here with the yellow shirt, Macaca, or whatever his name is. He's with my opponent. He's following us around everywhere. And it's just great. We're going to places all over Virginia, and he's having it on film and it's great to have you here and you show it to your opponent because he's never been there and probably will never come. [...] Let's give a welcome to Macaca, here. Welcome to America and the real world of Virginia.
Why is he welcoming the brown guy to America? Sidarth was born in Virginia. Even without the word -one that I recognized- the comment is bigoted. Allen is on record as opposing MLK day and supporting Lee-Jackson day.
as well as calling the civil war
But to the original point where does the double standard lay between Munger and Allen?
They are both active Republicans Munger also has not publicly supported the Buffet Rule.
Does the mythological Liberal Media not hold corporate Vice Presidents to the same standard as they hold Governors? Should they?a four-year struggle for independence and sovereign rights."
George Allen is a bigot nines ways to Sunday even without saying Macaca.
Thanks for your condescending explanation. Fact remains, Munger is a Party Republican and never supported the Buffet Rule. Maybe your definition of a double standard is too Lord Peter and not enough Cable Guy for me to understand? Or maybe the spin is just a little too tight on this "story". To me "Republican says racially insensitive thing" is not really news.
