So, so, so tired. I think I got three hours of sleep last night. I really need to start going to bed earlier, this isn't healthy.

I feel dehydrated too. I don't drink nearly enough water. I need to fix this. This should be an easy thing to fix, right?

Otherwise, things are going well!

b_b is to flossing what I am to water.

I'd honestly say even 8 glasses isn't enough, though, where I am it's really dry. But I go for 10 or 12 in a day.

Everything's better with water. Clear mind, more energy, better sleep, and weight loss on top of everything else.

The only downside is that you really feel on days when you don't drink enough water.

A little tip to help with the water thing.

Try to drink a whole cup of a water before a meal, then a cup during the meal. That also helps with overeating too.

Okay. That's pretty simple. I think I can handle that. Thanks

Put a cup of water on the bedside table. Don't drink it before bed or you'll be up in the middle of the night. Drink it when you wake up.

If you're dehydrated and have been for a long time, it'll be like drinking a potion from the gods. You'll be amazed at how you feel that day.

Work ended at 3am. Daughter was up at six. Need to take her to daycare, then wrangle a commercial broker, an architect, a designer and three contractors. Maybe get a nap, then pick her up at 5, then get her ready for bed, then wait for my wife to make it home then go back into work at 10pm, when work will be done at 7am.

The little minute maid squeezers work pretty well for making you drink more water.

Homer Simpson bought his daughter Lisa a pony and, to help pay for its living at a ranch, took up a second job.

Homer:

I work from midnight to eight, come home, sleep for five minutes, eat breakfast, sleep six more minutes, shower, then I have ten minutes to bask in Lisa's love, then I'm off to the power plant, fresh as a daisy.

!!

I'm never more than two feet from my trusty canteen. If I'm focused on something, muscle memory takes over and I drain it in half an hour. The downside, if you can call it that, is when you're at a restaurant or out drinking you feel like you need six times as much water as everyone else. And I get annoyed on the rare occasions when I get stuck without water access, because I don't feel right and I know how easy it would be to feel right, if I just had a water fountain.

Doubling the amount of water you drink is the single easiest way to instantly improve your health and it's pretty crazy that more doctors/etc don't emphasize it. I'm sure you've done this, but if you google the recommended water intake it'll blow your mind. Over three quarts, and that's baseline male without factoring in any strenuous exercise. I get 4+ every day -- but I know people who have probably never reached that mark in their entire lives. It's impossible to explain to them how they'll feel if they just try it once.

Oh and that problem of just not being able to stand drinking another pint of water, needing flavoring, whatever, goes away fast.

When I can't handle another quart of water - I'll cheat with one of those little propel packets. Light flavor and helps get another jar of water down. And there are some of those packets (crystal light and a store brand) that even have a caffeine kicker. I use those on days like the one it sounds like you're having.
