So veen heard this in the car the other day on his visit out here, and insomniasexx asked me if I had posted it here. I hadn't so here it is.
Dig it. A lot For some reason it reminds me of Timothy Monger's *Crime in a Summer Day" on electronic speed. Am I crazy? Listen to the end. Edit: re listened. I'm crazy. Still I'll leave this here. Great track randomuser.
Thanks tng. I'm glad you left it, it made me giggle.
Thanks, I tend to like music to be kind of adventurous so exercise is generally something that works ok :). And yes, veen last week, and we're meeting up with you tonight I believe. I'm getting my people quota for the year done in a very short period of time. Granted, the people have been awesome, and I look forward to meeting You later :).
I really like it. Especially the part around 1:12
great song! If you don't mind me asking, what did you use to make it? I've been contemplating trying out making a song like this for a while now.
My songs tend to be kind of a jumble of different media/sources, but my workstation tends to consist of Ableton as my base for production, along with several vsts, hardware synths, a guitar, and a piano. This one I started with the piano line in the beginning and built structure around it. I think the drums were pretty much last, except a couple lead lines I added after I built the drums.
I really liked the drum switchup used in this song. I also really liked the synth used under the piano in the intro before the drums kicked in. It reminds me a lot of Shlohmo a lot. When you compose do you start with the melody first or do you build percussion?
Thanks, I appreciate it. It really depends, for this one the piano was first. Usually I think I go for pads/strings/piano, or drums. If I'm feeling like melodies an countermelodies, I'll start with hose because they are the hardest and take the most time.
Unfortunately most of my stuff is only on soundcloud, but most are free to download, I don't even think you need a user profile. This one is an older one of mine, but it is on iTunes.
I guess I've never really looked into it. It'd be pretty cool though to have a broader reach with the music I put out.
