Granted, asshole geeks don't hide behind their geekery as an excuse to verbally assault the whole other gender of homo sapiens sapiens.I don't stop identifying as feminist because some feminists are assholes. The same way I don't stop identifying as a geek because some geeks are assholes.

When? Where? It's not to say that my ignorance of such occasions makes them irrelevant or unexistent, but I've never once encountered a person claiming to be above or better than someone else solely by the fact of their geekery. Trolls (excuse: "You're replying to me") - plenty, asshole feminists (excuse: "You're other gender than me") - a few, asshole geeks (excuse: "You're not geek (enough)")? Not once.
