As you may have surmised, I have a big head (~25in/63.5cm). I'm currently rocking a taped-together pair of Turtle Beach X12s that I got on sale a year or two back. Both plastic pieces that slide up into the headband are broken, so it's just duct tape holding these things together. I ordered a pair of Logitech G35s but the issue is that the headband is too flat or short and pushes down into the top of my head. I need a pair that doesn't squeeze my head like a vice. I highly prefer closed ear models. Any advice is greatly appreciated.
Yep I agree my Sennheiser HD650s (c. $500) and JVC HARX700's (c. $50) are both are very flexible and sound great. I am not sure whether OP is looking for music or gaming headphones though but neither of what I mentioned are good for gaming. The JVCs are the best bang for the buck I have ever worn.
Sorry, should've mentioned I'm using them primarily for gaming.
You might consider getting a pair of high end headphones like those made by Sennheiser and adding a modmic if you want to use them for communication while gaming.
That looks like exactly what I'm going to do. Had no idea these were even a thing. Thanks a ton!
No problem. I admit I don't own one myself, but it seems to be pretty well reviewed. When I upgrade my headphones, that'll probably be my solution for comms while I game.
Holy shit I had no idea about these. Just ordered one. HailCorporate.
