I'm really liking this tag of the week! So many good stories/articles. But I'm a little confused on the last part with the texting the girl back immediately with "Do you want to hang out right now?" What is that supposed to show or mean??
It means "optimize on value, not on gameplay." The point of the text discussion, as outlined by the author's friend, is to "win" (not be the one to text last or first). The point of the text discussion, as pointed out by the author, is to start dating. The argument is that the game mechanics and the real world value of the game are at opposition, which makes it a stupid game, which makes it one that shouldn't be played.
