It's 08:40 Monday morning here in Norway, and I'm back at work after a weekend of chasing after my 2 year old son and trying to get things done at home. The weather was a bit mixed - sunny and warm one minute, overcast and chilly the next - in other words, typical Norwegian summer weather.
How was your weekend?
My weekend was just okay. It wasn't the best weekend ever or the worst. I watched fireworks with my wife and then her mother came to our house and visited with us for a few hours. I'm unemployed at this time just having lost my job on July 2nd. I've applied quite a few places but haven't heard anything back yet. I hope I can find something today or sometime this week, I hope. I have a deep desire to become an artist but I don't have the patience to practice drawing. I just sit here at my computer applying at places and aimlessly browsing the internet. I'm 27 years old.. I need to get motivated.
Good luck bleu, finding a job can be difficult. In this day and age, it's all too easy to rely solely on online job boards etc. I'm sure you already know this, but be sure to use your network of friends and family too. Also, don't be afraid to show up on the doorstep of the company you'd like to work for with your resume in hand. Good luck! I know this is a hard time, keep your chin up.
Way too short. There's always shit I want to do, but between sleep and chores there just isn't enough continuous time to do it.
Mine was pretty nice. Here in Mexico it's been raining every day, and as much as that makes the Mexico City traffic even more fucked up, it's nice and relaxing. plus you get petrichor at the end, and it's awesome. I also went to a friend's house to build a small aluminium forge, which was an absolute disaster, but oh well, we'll finish it later in the week. Man, summer is awesome.
It was alright. I pretty much just relaxed. Saturday night I went up to a friend's house for a small 4th of July get together. Other than that, I did some laundry, cleaned my bathroom, and ate some Dominos pizza because I'm gross. Nothing too out of the ordinary!
Good! Had Friday off work, to observe mourning for loss of British rule in my country. Mowed my lawn, did a bunch of other yard work, took a nap with my wife and daughter, and got a lot done around the house. Saturday, the 4th, we went to the local town's parade. Randomly saw my aunt and uncle IN the parade, odd because they live on the complete opposite side of the cities. Left early, walked home a few miles in the sweltering and humid heat. Went to go shopping with the wife and daughter, noticed the tire was flat in our vehicle. Called around to repair shops, of course no ones open it's the 4th! And since my wife and I are a one car family we were kind of just stuck at home for the rest of the day, not a bad thing, just mildly annoying because we had stuff we wanted to do. So, just did more work around the house, played with our daughter, grilled some burgers and brats, and just kind of took it easy. Sunday was uneventful, just me going to a tire shop and getting my car repaired and running errands. Got to go to Costco though, which is always nice. Bought some new flip flops. Must be nice. Here it was just humid, hazy as hell, and hot as hell. It was gross out all weekend.sunny and warm one minute, overcast and chilly the next
Too warm and very unproductive due to my barely functioning. I'm trying to get ahead on the summer course I'm taking, but it's not going as planned. I was planning on studying all of this weekend, but due to the heatwave that just didn't happen. Stockholm was finally hit by rain today and the weather is going back to normal so hopefully I'll be able to get a lot done this week.
Father went to New Orleans, Louisiana to visit my Mother. With him away I infiltrated his room so I can connect my xbox to the internet router via ethernet cable. With this I have had zero connection issues and it feels great and a lot less stressful when I play. I think this weekend went well and was one of the more laid back weekends in a while, and with it ending I am going back to my summer physics course in the morning. woop dee doo.
