Have you ever thought about checking out actual wrestling, boxing, or MMA? The fights can be just as entertaining, if not more so because they're real. If you're willing to keep up with events outside the ring/cage, you'll often find just as much drama as well.
I followed MMA when flatting but I'm not that keen on pirating, mostly because I'm lazy, and I don't have cable. I haven't seen if you can purchase PPVs online. Boxing is such a huge sport I wouldn't know where to start. I just watch pacquaios fights mainly. And I've never seen wrestling outside the olympics. I didn't even know it had it's own following (is it televised?)
I don't pirate anything myself, so I feel where you're coming from as far as trying to keep up. For MMA, my buds and I usually hit up the local bar and watch the UFC Fights on Saturday nights. It's great, because for less than half the price of a PPV Ticket you get to enjoy the food and company with your friends as well as get out of your wife's hair for a night. The only downside is that the bar is too loud for you to ever really hear the commentators. If you don't have a thing against seeing old fights, UFC's Youtube channel regularly posts free fights. Unfortunately for boxing, none of my local bars ever show any PPV Fights as they don't draw a big enough crowd to justify the cost of being allowed to show them. However, some of the smaller promotions can be found on standard cable channels like ESPN and FOX Sports. You can also catch replays quite easily as well. Since wrestling here in the states is mainly for highschool and college age athletes, you often have to go see them live. I don't know what it's like in Australia, but if your local highschool has a wrestling team, go check them out sometime. Those boys can always use one more local in the stand cheering them on. Finally, if there are boxing/mma gyms around you, pop your head in from time to time. A lot of times they'll be prepping for a small time promotion and you can get a flyer as to see when and where it will be. While the fighters might not be as crisp as the pros, the fights can be just as engaging and enjoyable to watch. Best of all, you'll be supporting your local economy by attending. Long story short, there's action everywhere. You just gotta look for it.

Yeah I might throw up some old YouTube clips. With the timezones of America to New Zealand things like UFC are shown in the morning or early afternoon. I watch NFL but I need to take up at 5am on Monday to watch the early games. My high school had rugby, cricket and soccer and now field hockey, I couldn't imagine we'd have schools offering wrestling, probably have to find a club to go along. Would like to get my daughter into a sport, she's only 2 at the moment but she likes to practice taekwondo with my wife wearing her own gear. Used to watch Friday night fights on espn, but you can't really follow the career of someone that easily. But you're right, I need to find something to go out and watch. Haha, I don't think you want another uneducated immigrant. My wife is a teacher, but I doubt her Chinese education means anything in your country. I work for an airline and do some stuff that makes me semi desirable, but the airline Industry is mimicking the fast food industry where if they can replace you with machines they will. The New Zealand economy is so shitty and will become more so with the introduction of the TPPA, so will probably go to Beijing since my wife owns an apartment there, however I can't speak Chinese with the exception of a few words and a couple of swear words. When I was there this year I watched a lot of sports. If we lived there I'd get one of those american expat cable services so I could hear English. Two months I spoke to two people besides my wife haha. Beijing was truly amazing. I assumed it would be anarchy but parts remind me of new york and where she is from is about a ten minute walk to Tiananmen square
