I've been listening to Graceland by Paul Simon. Putting aside the controversy of Simon working in South Africa during Apartheid, the album is fantastic, and the story behind it is rather interesting as well. Simon was inspired by a couple of bootleg tapes of African artists he came across, while at the same time, the African musicians he was playing with were trying to mimic him and Western players they knew.
