Post your recipe! I used to live in Detroit Michigan where there was a large Polish community. I haven't had a good bowl of dill pickle soup in ages. put my user name in the post bracketed by the @ sign if you do and I'll get a shout out to let me know about the post.

I may have seen you around Detroit ;)

2nd generation Polak that doesn't speak Polish dill pickle soup recipe. Basically your typical root stew that's hard to screw up.

3 medium potatoes cubed 1 large celery root cubed Couple carrots cut up Medium onion cut up. Tablespoon cumin Couple teaspoons (or equivalent) vegetable broth. Jar of sour dill pickles put through food processor.

In a bit of oil or butter in bottom of soup pot fry up the onions a bit, then dump in the pickles. Couple minutes go by then add the cumin and stir it round a bit. Then add everything else and cover with enough water to cover the veggies. Bring to a boil and cook for about a half an hour. Taste along the way to make sure no major fuck-ups. That's it. It's better than my marinated steak in Royal Oak I promise.

Key ingredients (besides dill pickles) that will make the soup suck if u forget or sub them imo them: celery root, cumin, and vegetable base.

Gołąbki is easy. Get meat and mix it with rice. Wrap in Cabbage. Boil in tomato sauce (bit watery)
