Just watched that a few weeks ago, totally agree. The only reason I can think of that it wasn't well received was how unrealistic it was. But it was supposed to be over the top. It's a beautiful piece of fiction. It's a formulaic plot line, I get it, but if you're not a fan of predictability, why bother watching movies having anything to do with Marvel or DC comics? I fucking hate Rotten Tomatoes. IMDB scores are usually much more indicative (to me), but even Speed Racer seems to have gotten shortchanged on IMDB.
