At least we're getting a Ratchet and Clank movie. And the Infamous games, by the Sly Cooper guys, are pretty good platform-shooters. Second Son has been the only non-indie game worth beating on my shiny-new PS4.
<grumbles/> I have little hope for any video-game-based movies. How many years now have the bioshock / WoW films been in the making? Past the stalled pipelines, most games just don't seem like they would translate well into a movie setting. I have trouble imagining rail-shooting being nearly as entertaining when I'm not the one in control.
I have the same concerns, but at the very least this is CGI and not live action like other video-game based movies. Plus R&C had humor going for it. And Rainmaker isn't too bad, plus the original game creators have a hand in it. But yeah, I'm probably gonna preempt myself and give it 70% before I even see it.
