Yes, it definitely changed me. Before I thought, well there is no way to make this sound good. I was a bit suicidal and I really thought that I didn't want to live and that I would in a crisis situation just lay down and die.

Unfortunately the experience has filled me with a bit of hubris, I think I'm less cautious actually but taht is also kind of a good thing. I've always been very anxious about everything and now sometimes I can just tell my self that "You'll survive this stupid presentation - you once walked your way out of a forest."
