Are planes effecting the weather? Was that a UFO or a Hole Punch Cloud?

It's funny to think of how easily we can influence the weather and other of the world's natural systems. The weather always seems like something that just happens, that we don't influence - and even if we do, it's altered by us over a long time scale via global warming and so on. But here we have planes causing snowfall - a reminder of how we can affect the natural world.
