To be honest I feel like those are posts I'm "most guaranteed" to see so I don't necessarily want them on the top of my feed because i know I will see them anyway.

Yes, basically. I'm sure I"ll see these posts one way or another. Worst case scenario I get bored and start trolling (trawling) the users whose submissions I like or the tags which are usually good, and I'll certainly pick them up there if they haven't managed to climb my feed already. I would actually be more interested in a feed where things with only 1 "follow factor" were higher up, because I like to get new and interesting stuff in my feed, and "things not made/posted by people I follow" is one definite form of "new and interesting" personally.
