Buzzfeed has stepped up It's game this year, hired serious journalists in interesting places and done some excellent reporting. They have stolen a march on a few big stories and out qualitied the big boys on some stuff they didn't get to first. They are the first call for some Washington insiders because they can give their full attention to a juicy scoop and hit a wider audience than many other news services Easier to do good work when you don't need to be good or present everywhere.
