I don't know if "underrated" is the right word but Matthew McConaughey has really come out in the last couple years and been incredibly impressive. It seems like yesterday where his entire existence was tabloid shirtless photos. He is absolutely, insanely good in True Detective: If you haven't watch that show yet, get on it. I also really, really enjoyed Mud. And obviously, his performance in Dallas Buyers Club was unbelievable. He apparently only has one accent though ( I just noticed that pulling these clips :-P ) It's also a shame Emma Stone is mostly known for being beautiful and sexy because she is a fantastic actress with a pretty wide range of characters. Tom Hardy is probably one of my favorite actors of late. Check out Bronson and then try to remember which guy he was in Inception. +1 because I love the song in that opening scene: The Walker Brothers - Electrician
I couldn't get into Mud, I guess that's the downside of being drunk and fumbling around Netflix to find something to watch. I particularly enjoyed The Lincoln Lawyer and Reign of Fire. His role in Reign was particularly insane, but I guess that was what the character was supposed to be... Crazy pure and simple. Tom Hardy... I met him in Pittsburgh during the filming of TDKR, really cool guy. Had a good conversation with him about Star Trek Nemesis (one of my favorite roles / movies). I still can't pick him out of the crowd in Inception and there was another one he did (Fighter? Warrior? something like that) which was really good.
