Just listened to: Camper Van Beethoven: Edit: I was invited to go see "Merchandise" in late June when they come to town. Anyone listen to them?
Merchandise is great, you should definitely go see them!
I was hoping you would chime in, I knew you would be familiar with them. I'll try and go, for sure.
The recent brainfeeder stuff... Taylor McFerrin - Early Riser especially Already There, amazing track.
Brave Bird just released their new 10" "T-Minus Grand Gesture! It's up for free download on their bandcamp! Indie emo/punk, very mathy and raw.
Brave Bird is great, can't wait to give this new EP a listen. I'm probably going to die tomorrow night though from too good of a lineup: Modern Baseball with The Hotelier, Tiny Moving Parts, Sorority Noise, and Old Gray.
Nice! I'm seeing that same lineup (minus Old Gray) in Rochester in a week! I'm jealous about Old Gray, I've never seen them but I hear they put on a great live show.
At Montage? California Cousins is a friend of mine's band, if you get there early enough you should check them out. Think they're the first band on that night.
Yes! We're actually planning on getting there early since tix are at the door only, so we'll definitely check them out!
Yeah so Old Gray was incredible. Cameron actually had to fill in as the second guitarist in Modern Baseball because Brenden has pneumonia. He ended up playing three sets which was nuts. Great guys all around, it's going to be a killer show.
A while back I mentioned enjoying the music of a friend's brother's band, Clevinger; they released a full album and I'm loving it. http://clevingermusic.bandcamp.com/ Bandcamp links are okay, right?
