I'm 6' tall. As of now, I way 198 lbs. I also have a 36" waist. last february I was 6' tall and weighed 230 lbs. I had a 38" waist. That took ten solid months of 1600 calories a day, not including exercise, which routinely went over 1000 calories a day. Supposedly, that was enough to lose a pound and a half a week. By way of comparison, my wife (at 5'9, 120 lbs) is supposed to eat 1650 calories a day to maintain her bodyweight. There's a 52-year-old 5'1 woman among my myfitnesspal friends who supposedly loses two pounds a week on 1750 calories a day. For those keeping score at home, at 197 I'm 3 lbs away from qualifying as "obese." With a 36" waist. I think it's easy to lose weight if you're crazy stupid overweight. I've never been crazy stupid overweight. I think it's easy to lose weight if you're crazy stupid anorexic. I've been crazy stupid anorexic; I dropped from 220 to 137 in 10 months by basically not eating. I think the middle ground is a stone cold bitch and since most people are in the middle, this sort of cavalier "it's just editing" approach is bullshit.
