I'm currently sitting in a van en route to Detroit. My team and I are going to do some work with a high school renovating some classrooms and tutoring some elementary school kids after school. But reading this makes me feel frustrated and very apathetic. I can't even formulate a thoughtful response as I'm currently too resentful at the author's words, which make me feel that if I'm not actively working towards the removal of capitalism, I'm feeding the beast. Min, what do you think?
While you and mk were in the Netherlands I forwarded you an email from blackbootz about him coming to Detroit. Buy him a beer on me!
That's pretty much true. I guess what really needs to happen is organization, whether by affinity group or mass, but that's hard. I do what I can, resist in my own small ways when the opportunity presents itself, and try to make friends with like-minded people. I endorse the views of the author.
