This review makes me want to revisit this movie. It's been a while and I don't recall much of it.

It's funny to read such a humanistic view on artificial intelligence.
Personally I've always shared the view put forth in Dresden Codak's Hob's series[1] that the singularity only increases humanity's irrelevance, rather than somehow making our emotions the computer's concern, as Spielberg seems to believe.

meaning that the "emotions" aren't something that is envied by the AI? That's completely reasonable to me. Why would it be?
