I'll throw my entire life savings down to bet that the government will suddenly care a whole hell of a lot more now and will act swiftly to curtail the NSA following this. Lobbyist money is going to fly faster to stop this than anything else.
What I find interesting is how much Snowden is talking. I would have thought that once he was in Russia, he would lay low because his journalist buddies had all the information that was going to be revealed. Why is he continuing to talk?
Well, it's a whole lot of information. By continuing to talk, he can direct people's focus on to certain things instead of taxing the public's notoriously short attention span by flooding the media with documents. That's my guess, anyway.
