Venkatesh Rao's http://www.ribbonfarm.com/ is almost always a source of thought-provoking stuff. Few are going to be interested in this, but I grew up playing tabletop RPGs, and I occasionally read http://grognardia.blogspot.com which is full of D&D and sci-fi nostalgia. Finally, I used to blog the Trojan War as Odysseus' second in command! It's very uneven stuff. :) http://underodysseus.blogspot.com/
another good one is
http://www.silverhydra.com/
If you go to the gym you should take a look. he goes in depth and analyses supplements down to the molecular level no bro science. Edit: whats up with the text being centered?
Thanks.
2. A blog with reviews of SF/F books. Here's a tag: IRREDEEMABLE VERBAL DIARRHEA UPON WHICH ILLITERATE MAGGOTS FEAST. Funny even if you haven't read the books. Updated every single day. http://requireshate.wordpress.com/ 3. A blog about the history of my city. It's got some good oldie photos. In portuguese. http://fortalezaemfotos.blogspot.com/
The author writes about things I care about and he does so well. The only problem is that the posts are slow to come, but I have a feeling that if it were a daily or even weekly blog the writing might suffer for it. Let me know what you think.
P.S. It is probably a good thing that he doesn't update as often because he seems to like to write about alcohol. Like you, I too have been trying to cut down on my alcoholic consumption.
Glad you like Clive's work, I find his passion for his topics to be refreshingly genuine. Too much cynicism in today's blogging world imo.
Feel better lessismore! Good luck with your resolutions.
