Random, are you seeing NMH on their reunion tour?
I currently have no plans on doing that, despite them being one of my favorite bands. There's a couple of reasons, the first is that I didn't have the money to go see them when they were near me since I had just moved. The second is that seeing Jeff Mangum on the first stop of his solo tour was the most beautiful and soul-touching experience I've had at a concert, and might ever have. While I would love to see them as a full band I'm wary of taking anything away from that night.
Do you think you would regret not going? I'm not an awfully deep or intensely intellectual person (I don't know shit about Quantum Immortality ), but I do know that if you're on the fence and there's even an inkling of the possibility of regret then you should make the decision that avoids that. Plus, Neutral fucking Milk Hotel.
Believe me, I am no stranger to regrets revolving around concerts. Left Pains of Being Pure at Heart early back in high school, skipped Airborne Toxic Event in '09 when they were touring one of the best albums I've ever heard, couldn't score Tom Petty tickets in '06... Black Joe Lewis was playing for free three miles from my apartment and something came up. Etc. I'm sure you've got 'em too. I bet I end up going.
