More on her tumblr: http://humanae.tumblr.com/ I wonder how she picked the color. Did she average out the colors in the photo or did she just chose the color she felt most fitting? It's cool, I'm tempted to try and recreate it.
Thanks for the link. It's a better showing of the work. I like the google image version still because it talks of the solid presentational and conceptual aspects of the work. I'm curious if artists ever curate their work with image search in mind. I read on her site that she samples from an 11px x 11px square taken from each photo. I know that Photoshop has a function that averages pixel tones, so maybe she uses that.
I guess google would be the best way to figure out but why be unsocial. I remember a piece about her on the radio a while back I think she uses an color scanner
