I don't think they're particularly trying to make a point about the rest of the world. The rest of the world doesn't have subways everywhere so that someone can build neat data visualizations.

Oh ya definitely, I wasn't trying to suggest it wasn't a cool data visualization (I did share it). Just particularly angry lately when I think about income inequality.
