It's well done but I don't know that I really care. Maybe I just have lord of the rings burnout. I lost a lot of nerd cred for not loving the movies and the movies are just soooooo fucking long talking, thinking browsing a really great chrome page about is just drudgery. Peter Jackson took liberties, yes he did, that foul un-nobler of Dwarfs .I should have gotten nerd cred for the shit I hated about those movies but instead I'll huddle up in my cave and love the precious book I grew up on as if it had never been unsullied.
I can understand that. My nephew wanted me to watch the new version of The Hobbit with him. I don't know if I was distracted by him telling me all the things he knew about each character as the movie wore on or what, but I ended up conking out for about an hour. I had a lot more fun checking out the character designs that were released as a book in conjunction with the movie. The attention to detail is fantastic. That said, I think I prefer the cartoon version from the '70's. I don't trust nerd cred. It's a volatile currency.
