First of all, congrats! Good luck with the release.... and with the 400 level engineering course.It’s really been a lack of recording equipment that’s prevented me from recording the sad, lo-fi type of music that everybody loves. Especially if you’re John Cusack in High Fidelity.
-It's amazing how much of an album is the product of your resources (or lack thereof). Often, when people don't have access to amazing studios, they're forced to get really inventive and the music can really benefit from this. I know that with my music, if I knew someone that was a trumpet player... chances are a song on the album would have some trumpet. etc.
Thanks, I'll be making another post tomorrow once the EP is officially released. I hope everyone here enjoys it. It really is. I just need...anything. Two microphones with stands and I could make it work to produce the kind of lo-fi music that you can make from that and a DAW. If you're looking for a trumpet player or something like that, you could always try the musicians section on craigslist or find other collectives! The engineering course wouldn't be bad if school and homework was the only thing I was focusing on.
