Having worked in journalism most of my life, I enjoy HBO's "The Newsroom."
The first season presented the image of how the industry should function, and received plenty of criticism. We journalists all become cynics, and complains about the show probably reflected the frustration of watching a portrayal of a reality we wish existed. The second season shows more of what is the reality, with a touch of idealism thrown in.
If anything, the show is fun to watch for the historical context (i.e. the BP spill, Arab Spring, 2010 Congressional election). It already has me thinking ahead to what Aaron Sorkin will tackle in season 3.
Any other "Newsroom" viewers on Hubski?
