This is a local paper, so some of the information is localized to Colorado, but the study was national.

I'm not sure what to think. I don't have a position on this, but it was interesting food for thought. The statistics about the number of workers supporting the elderly were most interesting to me:

The Social Security Administration reports that in 1940, 159 workers supported each U.S. retiree. By 2010, just under three workers supported each retiree.
