I was driving this morning with NPR on. Excerpts from the President-Elect's remarks last night played. He was hopeful and strong, but meek and humble. He was optimistic and energetic but compassionate and empathetic. I felt emotional as he mourned with those who have lost loved ones to the pandemic. He wasn't my first choice for president this time around, but dammit if Joe Biden wasn't downright presidential in the remarks he made.
I am so ready to leave the past behind. It was just so refreshing to have a leader on the national stage who builds from a place of hope and love instead of anger and fear. He honestly changed the tone of my day for the better. I could get used to this...
