A very niche genre of music, wizard rock describes tunes written about Harry Potter from the perspective of various characters in the stories, most of which are written by bands who do so exclusively. To date, there are over 750 wizard rock bands, active or archived, and like the Harry Potter books and movies, in 2016 the music is thriving.
