SSN was filed with USPTO (and I have the PPA for it) but never pursued it beyond that stage (due to various factors, including a patent attorney who managed to convince me that we could not go forward without exorbitant sums for proper international filing. Quote: "just take your ridiculous% equity and you'll have full control on the next project"...) Depression ensued as /no one/ back then had a clue what I was talking about: e.g. Social Networks ..
In fact this whole thing really derailed my life for at least a decade. The patent was to serve one and only one purpose: To insure that our privacy rights are respected and to have a legal instrument to enforce it (via licensing terms). This is one reason I support patents.
Circumstances prompted the publishing of CHOICES today. Hope you enjoy (and remember that Architecture is NOT a panacea for human shortcomings ...)
(Perhaps Bees-Eyes -- the code name for the system -- will also be published soon. Need to think about it.)
