I thought of this old video after reading a comment from b_b saying

This is an interesting election, because I think people are more motivated by fear and dislike of the other guy in this round rather than positivity for their guy.

This reminded me of Hitchen's claim that the Clintonian liberals came to his defense because he was at least better than the alternative.
