The House of Representatives in the US is going to vote on some much-needed gun legislation next week, that is supposed to ensure suspected terrorists can't legally obtain guns.
They are simply going to say that anyone on the No Fly List is not allowed to (legally) buy a gun. And magically we will all be safe.
The No-Fly List is moronic in both design and execution. It is definitely unconstitutional.
And it is a bad idea to attach an extra-legal process of questionable constitutionality to something as important as gun regulation, as it locks in the No Fly List as a "useful tool" as opposed to its actual function as "utterly useless and pointless."
It's like making a turkey out of tofu: It is a bad idea that just gets worse as you build upon it.
Damnit. I want logical and reasonable gun regulation in my country. I wish someone had the balls to do it, and stop kowtowing to the NRA. Sheesh.
