Hey Hubski people! How are you?
This post is about mindfulness, something I'm actually studying now as I complete an assignment on qualitative research for my research methods course. It spawned several thoughts and has made me a bit more conscious of my personal issues as well as those around me.
I'm curious if any of you can help me scratch a mental itch. I'm in search of a specific parable or story about a King/Prince/Knight? who would sleep at night with a sword suspended directly above his bed where he slept. The moral was something to do with being prepared to face death at all times, if I remember correctly. I've been searching for this story, that I randomly remembered from my childhood, for about 5 years when it occurs to me again. It has been in the back of my mind for a while now. It occurred to me again during this research phase.
Anyone have any thoughts? Also, how do you like the other parables that I was able to find (the ones in the link)?
Thanks.
